Once I signed up for this outreach program at my church. We would visit the elderly and the infirmed, and keep them company. One old lady wanted nothing more than for me to teach her an acoustic guitar lesson. Never having played the guitar, I was sure she had me confused with somebody else. But who was I to argue with wisdom? I learned the acoustic guitar and showed her how to play a few chords, which wasn’t easy, as she had arthritis pretty bad. But after playing a few chords, she said her hands usually felt better. She really like to play “Stairway To Heaven,” by Led Zeppelin. I think that was her favorite.
