The two things we have a lot of in my area are teenagers with too much time on their hands, and old cars.

So a group of neighbors got together and created a project to help both.

We bought online guides showing how to build a Hydrogen Fuel Cell so that water can be used as fuel.

Knowing that teenage boys love cars, we got several of them interested in converting cars to use water.

The boys kept busy working on the cells, learned something about science, and ended up with cars they can own and continue to work on.

It’s been a win-win situation since most of the cars are still running, the boys know a lot more about saving the planet – and are staying out of trouble.
