There are a lot of complicated questions that have to be answered when you commit yourself to a long-term purchase, such as an automobile.  Changing market conditions and events, such as the high price of gasoline, have only served to complicate the issue further.  For instance, everyone knows that gas mileage ratings are an important factor when you buy a car, but how important should they be?  Should you forego your own personal preferences and just buy the car with the best fuel economy?  While it is important to get a car that has great fuel efficiency, you should also remember to buy a vehicle that you are happy with, especially concerning other features.
