A CEO or chief executive officer is the topmost executive/managerial authority in an organization. Responsibilities of a CEO include ensuring smooth functioning of the organization, ensuring that the company meets set targets, and planning the execution of various operations. A CEO has to oversee various important business sections such as operations, strategy, marketing, financing, company culture, human resources, compliance, and public relations. A CEO typically reports to the board of director. Typically, a CEO should have a master’s degree in business administration or related field. A CEO position may require 10+ years of experience in a progressively managerial role.
