Building cranes for huge construction jobs is a pretty daunting task. It is also incredibly exciting for someone who loved playing with his erector sets as a small boy. Ordering and then assembling all the tower crane components needs to be done meticulously. These huge machines can topple over if they are not functioning absolutely perfectly. They also topple if the laws of physics that govern their usefulness are not respected. A third cause of problems is the lack of skill of the man sitting in the cab. This is definitely not the kind of a job for a novice. I’m glad that my job is limited to putting these big guys together.
