I have been researching the different legal entities that can be used in Georgia when starting a Georgia business.  There is the corporation, the limited liability company and the partnership.  The Georgia company LLC is the youngest of the three choices but it is also the best when it comes to operating a small business.  Basically, the Georgia legislature decided to create the Georgia LLC specifically to cater to the needs of the simple small business owner.  It is a simple but flexible entity so it can accommodate most any kind of arrangement that owners of a business need to structure for their situation.  Plus, you get one level of tax.
