Jennifer was in the eighth grade.  Today in health class she learned about drinking in excess and about alcohol poisoning.  For a number of reasons, Jennifer was really interested in this topic.  First, she had three older brothers and sisters who drank.  Second, she had a number of friends who had already experimented with drinking even though they were barely teenagers.  And third, she has been curious about drinking and was recently thinking about having a few glasses of wine with her friends.  Now that she learned about how easy it can be to overdose on alcohol, however, she is starting to wonder if maybe she shouldn’t touch a drop of alcohol until she becomes an adult.
