When you first get interested in hypnosis and want to learn how to hypnotize it is natural to look around for a hypnotist who is promising that they will teach you quickly. After all, you want to learn this ancient craft and why mess around learning slowly if it is possible to learn quickly and get going with entertainment or therapy? But the trouble with this is that often the techniques that a good hypnotist uses are self-taught and more an art than a science. In other words, it is something they feel their way in to rather than something that can be taught from a list of step-by-step instructions. So, don’t focus so much on finding a hypnotist who can teach you quickly. Rather, look for a teacher who will be able to help you find your feel for hypnosis.
