Common Types of Freshwater Tropical Fish Aquarium Filters
Filtration system for any type of aquarium is essential to convert toxic ammonia into nitrates in order to keep your freshwater tropical fish healthy. The most common types of aquarium filter are under-gravel filters, dry filters, and canister filters. Under-gravel filters are less expensive and they seem to be less effective than the other filters. Wet/Dry filters are the most effective of all and they have become the first choice for several reasons. First, they are easy to clean and they help to grow beneficial bacteria in your tank. Canister filters are difficult to clean, but they have a good reputation of supporting the nitrogen cycle quite well than any other filters. Well, consider the different options and select the one that fits your budget and needs.
