Right now I own a Golden Retriever. He is a great dog and is really gentle with my two little boys. But he sheds like a beast! I am constantly vacuuming up long, blonde dog hair. I literally vacuum my downstairs at least once each day.

He is getting older and I am starting to think about the next dog we will get. I love the demeanor of the Goldens but I just can’t take the hair. I have heard that a Labradoodle is a great alternative. They are supposed to be excellent with children, and they don’t shed as much as Goldens or even Labradors. It doesn’t hurt that they look adorable!
