In the early 1990’s gold was in and silver and platinum were considered not as nice.  Over the years I have seen the times change and engagement rings and wedding bands are almost always platinum or white gold these days.  A friend of mine suggested that I look into having my gold set “dipped.”  she said that there are jewelers who do this for people and that I could chose either white gold or platinum for the dipping treatment.  With proper care I could have the new look fo my rings last for several years.  Seems like a better choice than buying a new ring?
