As a new mom, I have had to give serious thought to the furniture in my house. My son is only three months old, but there are many months of destruction still to come! Currently, the biggest thing we have to worry about is him spitting up all over the place, but once he becomes mobile, we may have to trade our designer furniture for some that will be a little bit more kid-friendly. Unfortunately, that also means the Bertoia chair we got for a wedding present may have to go into hiding for a little while as well. Luckily, he will eventually get older, at which point I will be able to go back to my nice pieces of furniture, but it is better to be safe than sorry!
