I think that getting gourmet gift baskets is a wonderful way to tell someone that you care. It says that you took the time to go and pick out a gift with them in mind. Not like a generic gift, but one that has the person and their interests in mind. It says that you matter, that you are worth that extra effort. I am personally brought to tears when I get a gift that is so special. I know that some people will trivialize the gift basket, but to me it is as high on the gift totem as you can get!
