Nail Biting Can Give You Germs
I bite my nails a lot or at least I use to until I read about the human b19 parvovirus and other viruses and germs that can be transferred by the hands. When you touch something you not only leave the germs on your hands, but you pick up whatever anyone else left there as they touched it. When you think about a railing at a local super market and the thousands of people that touch it every day, it is easy to see how many germs can be transferred to your hands in a single touch. When you bite your nails you get those gross things in your body. Even hand washing might not clean the germs from under your fingernails.
