After all of your hard work, you finally land a job. Whether or not it is your dream job, here is come career advice for school leavers on how to do well during that first job.

Listen carefully. This is important. If you must remember something write it down. When your superiors tell you something, they do not want to repeat it.

Another thing to remember is to ask questions. If you have questions, it is better to ask than for you to remain clueless. It is acceptable to get used to your workplace and not know a few things the first few months, but after six months, you should have the basics down.

Don’t forget that your first job is a great learning experience. Get as much from it as you can.
