Normally, once a player makes it to the NHL Injuries list, they stay there. Reports surface on recovery, maybe some mention about whether the instigating player will get suspended (if the injury was caused by another player), but rarely do you read so much about a player in the Injuries list as we have with Henrik Zetterberg, the Centre for the Detroit Red Wings.

Recently, Zetterberg who has 43 points but is also listed on the team’s Injured Reserve, has made headlines with his twelve year contract with the Wings. This is big news for everyone, but particularly for the Wings will have a good chuck of ther roster up for renegotiations in the near future. At least Zetterberg has nothing to worry about.
